KWS-NARC Fujitsu Season Opener @ Kern County Raceway
4/10/17-The KWS-NARC Fujitsu series made its season debut at the Kern County Raceway Park in Bakersfield, CA where the Roth Motorsports team started its quest for the 2017 Championship.
2016 KWS Champion, Kyle Hirst started the night aboard the Roth Motorsports/HR Livestock Transportation #83 by qualifying 6th out of the 24 competitors. Hirst would line up his 83 machine in the 3rd spot in Heat 3 which he would maintain throughout the event. With the inversion being “0”, it gave Hirst a 4th starting spot in the dash where he would finish 3rd behind Chase Johnson and winner Willie Croft.
The Kern County Raceway Park did not disappoint as the green flag flew for the feature event. Hirst battled for 3rd with Bud Kaeding for a number of laps before settling into the 3rd position. By the halfway point the fierce battle picked up with Kyle challenging for 2nd before getting shuffled back to the 5th position. After regaining 4th, he continued to move forward into the 3rd position where he would eventually finish to conclude the night.
The Roth Motorsports team would like to thank Roth Enterprises, HR Livestock Transportation, Roth Investments, 3H Cattle, FK Rod Ends, Weld Wheels, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, Kent Performance and Astro Titanium for their support in 2017.
